the colour of rust
The other day I wandered through my parents’ garden, trying to find something interesting to photograph. I came across this cabin hook, attached to the side of an old shed. I can’t quite figure out why it was put in that spot, not even close to a window or door. Maybe this one was just meant to be decorative? On the other hand, spiders do seem to have found some use for it.

It wasn’t used to keep the door open?
Not that I could see. Unless, of course, there was a door before and the owners decided to move it to the other side of the shed.
As I mentioned over on your other blog – I like this one a lot. The colors, composition, everything – photography of older objects with a bit of history is always most fascinating to me.
Thanks! Just goes to show that age can be beautiful, right? Or at worst, it gives character 😉
